What RISE Is

RISE is a bold attempt to build a coordinated effort that could draw people out of feeling ‘frozen’ in a sense of loss or helplessness. It strives to bring greater meaning to action and offer new, vital relationships. Although a goal is to make a public impact, it is not meant to be political, per se. Still, there will be a focus on rights, needs and good that can be done. It will be attentive to collaborative action as much as personal effort. Initially, it may represent a good amount of ‘push back.’ Standing for Resilience, Imagination, Strength and Empathy, RISE believes in action, while supporting each other. Expressing outrage when outrage is due. To rise from inactivity — with passionate purpose — and without rancor.
