What RISE Stands For

 Resiliency

For each other and our ideals:

This is about having the determination and courage to get back up when one falls.  Our greatest models are found in those who ‘keep on’ even when the light seems too dim—for too long.  This attribute comes with power of resolve, with passion to see things through for another or for a cause we believe in. It is fitting that it leads our call for action!

That lets us keep discovering ourselves and the world:

Einstein claimed that “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” He goes on to say that “For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”  This ‘I” could as easily stand for intuition and inspiration.  All qualities that set us apart.  Ones that can help us understand what this world could be. Who WE could be. It’s where grace finds hope and jumps over boundaries.  And—we are better for it.

Of Character, of Beliefs, of Bonds in Community:

This quality can mean so many things for different people.  It is being able to hold strong when reaching for the horizon, when caring for another, when going through the struggles of growth.  It carries us when the odds seem too long or the day too short.  It gets us up the next day and inspires others on the journey. Its inner confidence growing into outer blessings.

Caring – feeling– seeking to understand those hurting, in fear or feeling overwhelmed:

Others, people as well as organizations, know when we care and……when we do not.  By acknowledging the pain or uncertainty running through each day, we open ourselves to being heard, seen and welcomed. And, importantly, we learn. We can reach for the genuine, the soft truths we all hold dear. Together, a sense of peace begins to unfold.
